I chair the Trust’s Board of Directors and have been the Chair of Governors of Cotgrave Candleby Lane School since its creation in 2005. I believe passionately in school improvement; ensuring that each school within the Trust provides the best outcomes for the children and their life chances; because nothing is more important than the children.

I have been a school governor for nearly 15 years, ever since my children were toddlers. Although it has been challenging at times, it has also been very rewarding and a great feeling to be part of the success that a school has managed to achieve. I became a Director of the Flying High Trust in 2012 on its inception; I wanted to be involved in the trust as an opportunity to share the success that Candelby Lane has achieved. My core belief as a governor and a trust director is that everything that we do has to benefit the children first followed closely by the community. I have always kept this in the forefront of my mind as the school & academy continue to succeed.
