Graeme Robins (Director of School Improvement & Quality Assurance)
As Director of School Improvement and Quality Assurance my role is to provide challenge and support to the school leadership teams within the Trust. Principally creating robust and truly authentic partnerships amongst peers, and enabling schools in their purpose of equipping and daring our children to become the best they possibly can.
Zoe Maxey (Director of Business & Finance)
As Director of Business & Finance, I ensure the support services at each school are of the highest standard and that they represent excellent value for money. By making the most effective use of all the resources available we will enable each school to be the very best it can be.
Paul Goodman (Deputy CEO & Director of Teaching School)
Deputy CEO & Director of Teaching School, I lead on strategic development and meaningful collaboration across our partnership.
Nick Layfield (Operations Manager)
My role is to support school operations - conversion, estates, ICT and marketing. I joined Flying High as their passion, commitment and values regarding raising aspirations for all very much reflect my own. I act as Company Secretary for the Flying High Trust.
Paul Bennett (Trust Consultant)
As a former primary school headteacher, senior local authority inspector and Director for Primary School Leadership at the National College for School Leadership, I am passionate about primary school education and the importance of a school-led self-improving system. I am, therefore, delighted to be associated with an evolving multi-academy trust which has these aims at its heart.
Susanna Russell (IL Manager)
I am programme officer for Inspiring Leaders. I support the administration and coordination of the NPQH, NPQSL and NPQML programmes, working closely with facilitators, participants and local schools. I am committed to ensuring participants receive a high level of customer service, first rate value for money and a positive experience on the programme.
Julie Thain (CLTSA Coordinator)
I am involved with the administration for Teaching Schools Alliance, Flying High Trust and our charged for CPD Nottinghamshire Education Training Support. I primarily support the Director of Teaching School. My experience although not always within the education system was largely based around co-ordinating bespoke in house training and specific courses for companies and assisted The Industrial Society gain BS5750 and was also the in-house computer trainer for Industrial Society’s own computer system.
Jenni Dunne(Executive Officer)
I joined the Trust as Executive Officer in July 2016. I am passionate about education and my role in coordinating all Trust activity for staff and children enables everyone to work towards fulfilling their potential each and every day.
Claire Varley(Director of School Improvement)
Prior to starting with the Trust I took my amazing team at my former school to outstanding. As Director for School Improvement and Quality Assurance my daily motivation is to spread outstanding practice across the Trust, enabling staff to fulfil their potential which in turn provides the very best opportunities and experiences for our children.
Elaine Armstrong(Business & Finance Manager)
I joined the Trust as Finance and Business Manager in November 2016. I have extensive experience working for the Local Authority supporting schools in financial planning, management and workforce strategizing. Education is a right for all and drives me forward to ensure I make a difference to the children, and staff, in our care.
Lynsey Atkins(Inspiring Leaders Programme Manager)
Provision of high quality CPD lies at the heart of school improvement. I strive to ensure the CPD we offer meets the needs of our schools and communities. As the license holders for the National Professional Qualifications in Middle Leadership, Senior Leadership, Headship, Executive Headship and the Diploma in School Business Management, we work to ensure we are developing leadership at all levels.
Sarah Flight(Teaching School Manager)
As Teaching School Manager I work closely with all of our schools to ensure we provide leading CPD focused on the context in which our schools work. With extensive experience in my former role at the National College for Teaching and Leadership I ensure our schools get the support they need.
Pete Wilkes(Director of Quality Assurance and Inclusion)
I believe passionately that the responsibility for improving teaching and learning and therefore the life chances of children lies with the expertise that currently exist within schools. Moreover, the expertise within the primary phase of education is crucial in developing schools. The establishment of the The Flying High Trust puts us in a key position to work in partnership with other schools to develop practice and to improve schools.
